p428- Pyrope – Martiniana – Valle Po - Piemonte – Italy (Dora-Maira massif). Size 10x8x8 weight 0.9. Pink round pyrope crystal of 90 mm. attached to a little matrix. Typical sample of high pressure methamorfism. It was formed at 100 km. of depth under the ground’s level. At the chemical analysis these exceptional (for the size) crystals result composed of 90% of pyrope and 10% of almandine, then they are the most pure pyrope found in nature. 20 €
